When you come down (to Senior) you know you're going to be in for a battle. It's a tough place to play, and we haven't played very well in Billings, ever, for some reason. And so it's really nice to come away with a conference win.

I was very happy with the way the girls came out. They went hard at the basket. We used a lot of our inside-outside game, which is our strength.

We came off a little rusty from the (10-day) break. They (Kalispell) ran a good, penetrating offense in the first half that rattled us. They were getting easy baskets and we weren't shooting the ball very well. We needed to change things up so I went with a little younger lineup with Kelsey Ham in there because she's such a quick little guard on defense. She turned out to be a little spark for us and the rest of the players did little things well, which is what it's going to take.

We could have gotten more of those in the first half and the beginning of the second half but we kept jumping. So I told them to keep their feet planted and take the charge. They did a good job with that.

We planted a post back to stop those quick attacks.

Tonight was probably one of our best defensive efforts.

This one the players get the credit. They were the ones making plays on the floor and maintaining their energy.

It will be an exciting night; I think it will be a fun night for the entire valley. This place will be rockin' pretty good.

This is a good bunch of girls. They really have understood their roles this year. They haven't always gotten the playing time that they're accustomed to. They're a good motivation for the team; they try to keep the morale pretty high.
