We've all been saying it and that's what we want to do. Everybody in the locker room, the coaches, coach, everyone, we all have the same goal and that's to find a way to finish strong in the Big Ten and still get in the NCAA Tournament.
We're playing with the utmost confidence right now. We know things aren't always going to go our way, but if we play hard and do what we're supposed to do we have a chance to win this.
He showed the confidence and the technique. I used to shoot a knuckleball. Used to go in, but it was a knuckleball. He showed me the proper technique, the proper rotation on it.
It could get the start of a snowball effect if we could get a win and keep going. It would be good for us, and that is what we are trying to do.
It hurt. It still hurts to this day. But it happened for a reason. I'm glad that I had a chance to be with him.
I thought we played hard and showed character and fight. We got down, but we pulled within 10 and had a lapse, and Dee Brown hit a three and they were back on a run.
It doesn't matter, just whoever comes in, be ready to work and be ready to be a basketball player for him. It shouldn't matter who comes in. I'll welcome him with open arms and get ready for next year.
It depends on what style you like. But mine's sexier -- a little thicker.
We need to push the tempo, get it inside, play hard on defense, and do what coach asks us to do. We have to play good defense first. Defense wins championships and offense wins games.
Where we play shouldn't be a factor. We've played enough road games to be ready for any crowd.
We don't have time for that. We have to focus. If you get into that, it becomes personal battle. That takes away from the team game. Let him do all the talking he wants.
We're automatically supposed to push the ball up. It was a big emphasis to keep pushing it up because we saw the big men weren't running back.
You box out and play good defense on Marco every time, every play, so you don't have to do that drill anymore.
The other guys had to step up for them. That's why they call it a team.
You have to give him a little room -- not too much room -- but you have to give him enough room that just in case he does go you can have a chance to recover. You basically have to rely on your instincts more than anything. He's a quick player but I'm pretty quick, too.
We showed character and we showed fight. We got down, and we still continued to fight and lost by eight.
Seemed like we were a little timid. Once we got the pressure going on them we did a pretty good job.
That should have no affect on us. We've played enough road games to be ready for any crowd.
It was the coach's decision. Whatever he has for me, I'll just come in and contribute for the team.
It's a building block we can learn from and then move on. We need to keep trying to get better and keep winning.
It's been a challenging week, but you know, that helps us develop as young men. We all knew the situation before we came up here to school. It happened, so you've got to deal with it and move on.
I've just been waiting for the University to make a decision. They handled the business. I mean, I don't think we're signing any contracts.
They were playing the passing lane for me to pass it back out. The lane opened up, and nobody came through.
Once a person has made up their mind, it's hard to change their mind.
That might mean something if we won, but it means little when you lose. I would have been satisfied with no points, no rebounds and no assists if we had found a way to get to the Sweet Sixteen.
I just want to go out and play hard, try to contribute and push the tempo. We need to go in there and do what we need to do, play our type of game, and get a win.
I'll give him a little room -- not too much room. So just in case he goes by, I'll have a chance to recover.
He's staying. If he was leaving, he would have been gone by now. But he's with us at every workout and he's upbeat and excited. D.J.'s coming back, and I think we're going to have a good team.
Hopefully it's a good reaction. We play hard. But who knows.
If everybody is collapsing down on Marco we, as guards, have to be ready to score. That's the main thing I've been trying to prove to the people -- that I can score.
You can see it -- our will to win -- no matter how far we get down we're going to keep fighting.
