We've invested a lot in this thing, and we don't want to see that go to waste, ... But no one wants to have an event that we can't feel good about. We have to have a plan that makes sense.
On behalf of the (speedway's owners), it's an honor to be here tonight and to accept this recognition. We have a unique event that is specifically tied in to Memorial Day weekend. ... It only makes the greatest spectacle in racing that much more special.
We'll continue to discuss the future of F1. It's something I want to continue. But I have to focus on the short-term, and that's on an event that's months away.
