Julian is a fantastic young player with a long future as a professional rugby player, hopefully, at the Brumbies.
I hope it is done soon for our own quality and to encourage other players to stay or come here.
I think everybody will be primed for a good performance. And I guess I'd rather have experienced players who've been there and done that than a whole host of players who haven't. I'd rather be in our shoes than their shoes.
He's a very key player and an important part of our leadership group. Having Stephen in the team for another year will be invaluable for us in terms of developing our next line of halves talent.
He's a tremendously gifted player with a phenomenal understanding of the game.
We would be playing players who are fit to play so if he was fit to play, he'd play.
The players are fresher both physically and mentally, but it's also given us an opportunity to do a bit of extra work on our conditioning and strength this week.
It's certainly great to have one of the marquee players in world rugby signing with us for such a period of time, so we're particularly excited.
It's an enormously tough game in the forwards. Week in week out, the body contact, the collisions are enormous, so to think you can be a starting player week in week out, potentially over 15 Super 14 games and a dozen Tests, it's an unrealistic expectation.
He's been consistently among the best players at both Super 14 and Test level for a number of seasons and it is a huge boost to the team to have George with us for another three seasons.
I would stress that this is a function of the way football is going. It's an enormously tough game in the forwards. To think you can be a starting player week in and week out over potentially all of the Super 14 games is an unrealistic expectation.
