Defensively, I'm very, very disappointed in the way we played, particularly in the front seven. I don't think we played well at all up there. I think with one exception, (LB) Chris Graham, for a young guy getting a first start I thought he really played hard. He made a lot of plays. We're just not where we need to be. I can honestly say I have never held that mind-set, ... I mean, if you do that here, 'Get me to eight,' you're in trouble. What I'm always striving for ... I tell the players: Once, I was part of a national championship team. That really changes the way you look at things. Once you do it, there's nothing else, there's no goal out there that compares to that one. That's what I'm thinking about: How can we do this?

Anytime you have change -- depending on what those changes are -- it creates certainly new blood, and change is part of our world. It's just the way it is. It's no different in the coaching profession -- change is part of the process.

There will be significant changes on both sides of the ball. That will unfold in the fall, and hopefully it will be obvious. The most important thing is it translates into performance.
