We're in a pretty good position, we need three wins to attain one of main goals, to make the tournament. As far as respect I don't think in Rocky Hill in general gets respect...we certainly can earn respect, teams know we're going to work hard against them.
We're expected to get eight wins. We're expected to go to the tournament.
He's a great kid, I like him, he's a real good kid.
He?s been waiting for this. He?s been on the varsity team for four years and he got a taste of this his freshman year. He wants to keep going. He?s our captain. He?s our leader.
Our game plan is to play aggressive defense. With all those fouls, we kind of got taken out of the flow.
Right now, our team goal is, at worst, to go 3-1.
We were getting shots off but nothing was falling for us early. I think guys came out a little tight, they put a lot of pressure on themselves especially at the free throw line.
We didn't even know. We came out. The boys took the floor early and we heard all the commotion. It was a nice surprise for us to have that support.
We work, blue collar. Fighting hard for each other.
You can never overlook a team in this conference. You can never do that.
To get some stuff going we really need to get through our regular season. So we got a lot of life left.
With hard work and a hard work ethic comes success.
We got our eight wins. But at the same time let's get three more, we're going into the state tournament 11-9, you tend to get a good draw.
You got to be disciplined, be disciplined. Two guys, one spot.
Berlin's a great team. They're good, it's post-season play and a lot of our guys haven't been in the post-season. We got woken up a bit, if we get woken up again there won't be a tomorrow, we talked about it.
Defense got us here and defense is going to carry us through. We've been emphasizing defense since December 1.
An everyday fight, come in here each day and fight to make ourselves better.
This is great. This is all going to prepare us for our run in the states. It's all about being disciplined and how much these guys want it.
They're excited. But I told them one thing at a time.
There's always things to work on, you have to work to perfection.
It was one of the things that we emphasized, patience. Just working the ball around, moving the ball ..We knew that Somers was going to come in and try and scramble and put a lot of ball pressure on us.
