With the lack of support there last night to stop the A&P tax, I don't see the need to do anything further.
When this whole thing started, the city was saying that it would take about $7 million to build a civic center and an aquatic center, ... I am now hearing that they have upped that to $9 million.
But we cannot do anything until the City Council votes for the tax, ... By law, we cannot collect any signatures until that is done, and then we have 60 days.
I still think a civic center and water theme park are being considered, ... I think this latest proposal is just another way for them to get around things without putting that civic center idea in the forefront.
an easy way for the City Council to pass a tax, and there's nothing the public can do about it until it comes time for them to go to the ballot box and vote for aldermen.
The muscle that is down there contracts and pulls so hard that it tears away from the bone and pulls some of the bone with it.
You don't want to create a bed that's so large that it looks sparse and has no continuity because you can only afford to buy a few plants.
You don't want a big tree sitting in the middle of your picture window blocking your view.
It's just sick. Who wants to see your doughnut roll? It looks like a girl has an inner tube around her waist.
I'm not real sure people are too interested right now in more taxes for a water theme park. If they want to go to one, it's still cheaper for them to drive to Magic Springs.
I knew they could do it. They just needed to get a little confidence. Once they got it, I knew we would be pretty good.
If the people want this, fine, but they should at least have the chance to vote on it,
