There should be absolutely no confusion about how a matter such as this is to be handled by a National Governing Body. We review the anti-doping protocols with our N.G.B.'s and we expect every N.G.B. to strictly comply with these protocols. We have made the leadership of the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation acutely aware of our concern over how this matter was handled.

The decision announced (Monday) by the arbitrator is separate and apart from our investigation, which is focused on how these allegations impact the United States Olympic Team.

We feel we're off to a good start. We've had a few bumps and bruises, but that's the nature of sport. We've had some surprises, some good, others not.

Until we have announced our process, and finalized it, nobody is behind the curve.
