I thought we played hard. But South Shore played hard too. Give them credit. They were able to play their style of basketball and take control of the game in the paint. They killed us on the boards ,and that was the difference in the game.
It was a good game to watch if you are a fan. Glidden really had things going their way for most the game. But we were able to find a way to win.
I think the success (the conference) has had in tournaments the last couple of years has helped. The Division 3 teams and Division 4 teams have had success. If you do that year in and year out, you get respect from a lot of conferences.
It was nice to get a win. We had played well in our last two games and not won. So it was nice to play well and get a win in this game.
We played well on defense. We were able to hold them in check pretty well in the half court. But overall, it just wasn't our night.
Every time (we play them) it's always close no matter what they have, no matter what we have.
We shot pretty well at the line. It almost cost us in the second overtime. They were making their free throws, and when they missed, they put in the rebound.
It's a shame that one of the teams had to lose. Butternut played their hearts out. The last time we played them we beat them at the buzzer. These are balanced teams with our loss of (Randall) Walker. We're pretty even teams. It's tough to play two double-overtime games in a row.
It was a good win. That's two in a row without (the injured Randall) Walker. The kids are getting some confidence.
It was a tight game throughout tonight. Glidden played a great game. They really hurt us in the post and on the boards. We feel fortunate to come out with a win.
