We are finally starting to see changes in what's happening.
We just can't seem to get rid of it, this weather pattern. It will stop, this is California after all.
This will be mostly a Southern California event. It is still a very wet storm. It is still a very dangerous storm.
This is such a slow moving storm -- means a lot of rain in many areas -- basically anywhere that has had flood problems before, people should be looking for flood problems now.
This is some of the most moist air we have seen in a long time.
Overall, this is a much more gentle system. Unfortunately, it's coming right on the heels of a pretty potent system.
The good news, of course, is that we are in a break right now. The bad news is that it ends tomorrow.
There's system coming in next week that looks quite potent.
We will have a break. It does look like we are getting into a regime where each approaching system will be fairly weak.
The problem with showers and thunderstorms is that you can drop quite a bit of precipitation in a short period of time. Half an inch of rain in 30 minutes is going to be a real problem in some of the areas where we already have standing water.
