These girls have played a lot of basketball, so they knew they could come back and win.
We were balanced; it was a fun game. It was a packed house. Any time we tried to pull away, they would answer back.
That would make it easier to scout, that's for sure.
We'd keep pulling away and they'd reel us back in.
It was a good year. You know, 24-3 is not too bad.
Our girls continued to make big shots. And free throws, 22-of-31, that was huge.
We played basketball like it is supposed to be played. We moved the ball, we played good defense, we took care of the ball, and we shut down their top player. It was a great first quarter for us.
I thought if we could outscore them by five again in the third quarter, we'd have a chance. That was the plan, anyway.
We've been waiting to play like this for a long time. Good time to do it.
Our pressure got to them in the second quarter.
