John Samuel Stephenson (29 July 1900 – 21 December 1981) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1920 to 1922.[1] (wikipedia)
I don't think there was any way it was going to change. There's too much history to this district for the people in Austin to just tear it down.
Explain this game to me. Last night we went 2-for-24 from the 3 and (Friday) we made 11 threes. We make a few of those (against Franklin) and we have a chance to win the game.
These things do happen but it's just one game. We're still 14-2.
My sophomores played really well tonight. They stepped it up and played very, very well. Of course, Marcus Washington did some wonderful things for us.
(The Rebels) were hurting as bad as we were. We had a 15-point lead and did some silly things.
I think our guys kind of got where we played to keep from losing than playing to win. But it showed a lot of character to hang in there the way they did.
He accepts his role because he knows that's what we need to do to win. The main thing which separates him from so many other kids is he's such a good person.
(The Cougars) shot the ball very well and we didn't. They got us in foul trouble early. When Marcus (Washington) got his third foul in the first half that might have intimidated us a little bit on defense.
I hate that we lost, but we lost to a good team. Tony Harper does one (heck) of a job coaching basketball. If he's not the best in Texas, he's close. He's a class act.
I'm certainly not the luckiest man in the world but I'm one of them. I don't think I could have spent my life doing anything I enjoy more.
