Jon had a great game. Without question, he's been our most consistent player all season. When we needed someone to step up tonight, Jon was the guy.
We're obviously disappointed with the loss but the defense was pretty darn good. We just need more consistency on the offensive end.
That's something we talked about. We may have gotten away a bit from really getting after it. We have to do that from now on no matter who we're playing.
We hope to use this tournament as something we can build on. We want to keep it going. We've played some tough teams and have more to play here. Now the question is, will we be better? We have to beat teams like this if we want to be a winner.
Dykes got loose and hit some tough shots, but we did a decent job on him for the most part. I can't say enough about how hard the kids on the floor worked and how they executed everything we asked them to do. We just couldn't get the ball to drop for us tonight.
The Bolingbrook game is going to be on television and it's always a big one when we play them. It just so happens there will more hype than usual for this particular game. The kids are looking forward to the challenge.
We couldn't handle their pressure throughout the whole game, and they had a little spurt and before you know it you're down 20-some points.
We have struggled to score points at times, but I am proud of the way we ran our offense most of today. The disappointing thing was when they went on their run in the first half, they got three easy buckets where we didn't get back on defense.
They are very disruptive on defense. For us to be successful against them, we have to be able to handle their pressure, and we didn't do it.
We got some good shots but nothing would fall. Defensively, we limited Danville to 35 points and that should be good enough to win.
