We return a strong nucleus of players on both sides of the ball, but will need to rely on some of our younger kids to provide the much-needed depth.
Our passing was crisp, and our movement on offense was fluid early on. That combination produced seven goals in the first quarter.
Unfortunately we struggled the rest of the game to keep the rhythm going. To be successful this season we need to maintain our focus for four quarters.
Amity played extremely hard. It may not show it on the scoreboard, but they forced us to execute on offense.
We can no longer sneak up on anyone. All our opponents will circle the date with us on their calendars. Our kids will have to learn how to practice and play at their peak every day, because everyone will play their best game against us.
Overall we are pleased with the win. Our kids are eager to learn and will work hard in preparation for our upcoming games.
