He has great hands. His speed opens up the ice for me and Petersen.
That was a nice garbage goal. I like that. I credit the referee for not blowing the whistle too early. He was in good position.
I also did not put as much pressure on myself as I had before. I just tried to keep it simple. It definitely felt good. I had a big grin on my face when I skated to the bench, and so did the guys.
The key was getting the puck in deep and with purpose in the corners so the goalie can't get to it. It was not because of a lack of effort (Friday) night. We tried to do too much. Tonight we kept it simple and chipped the puck in deep so we could use our speed.
You are not really supposed to do that, but after a game like that you want to.
It's a great honor and means you are having a good season and doing something out there. It's also good exposure.
I know a lot of people in Manitoba since I played there two years. It's going to be good. It's weird to say, but it will get me away from hockey too. I can rest, even if we're playing.
I'll do whatever they tell me. I heard everyone is in a shootout, and I'm 0-for-2 in two nights so I have to practice my moves.
Milwaukee is the team we would probably play in the playoffs, so we wanted to send a message that it will be a challenge to play against us. We came back to tie the game twice, which showed a lot of character for a young team.
This kid has matured so much through the year. He wasn't always consistent and now he's probably the most consistent player on the team.
