I think it's a phenomenal net plus for business travelers. We're going to have a smaller industry that by necessity means there won't be the frequency of flights and convenience for some people. But up through 2000, 90 percent of my time was spent on three issues -- skyrocketing business fares, gridlock at airports and worsening service levels. I think those three issues will be resolved over the next few years.

In the next 18 months we are likely to see more change than in the last 10 years combined. If we go to war with Iraq, it will spike fuel prices, scare the living daylights out of the traveling public... and be the kiss of death for airlines.

You need to ask yourself whether it is prudent to be traveling in the next couple of weeks and, if you do go, have a contingency plan for being stuck.
