NBC is stable and our vital signs are encouraging. Most predictions were that we were going to go from bad to worse this year, and that hasn't happened.

So we're going to get into March, see how the schedule settles in, and then we'll reassess as to where 'Joey' can come back on.

Look, I'm realistic about this time period, and we're asking 'Law & Order' to do a lot here. But everyone knows there's no more resilient show on all of television. And we take the long view of the brand. In the spring, we'll figure out where this show is going to live for the next 16 years of its life.

We will continue to engage them. We're not completely deaf to it.

Win, lose or draw, these two shows are clear markers of where we want to go with the network in the future.

I can't believe the country doesn't want to laugh at a time like this.

Look, we knew there was going to be a fallout because advertisers take a cautious approach to risky shows. We've been through it before. Our competitors have been through it. If the show performs, we find that people get comfortable and advertisers come back.

Last year was horrific. We don't have the rocket fuel right now to lift us to the next level, but things are genuinely happening, and some of these shows are definitely moving in the right direction.
