My own dog likes swimming. It's hard to predict, though. Make sure that this is an activity your dog wants to do. Don't assume because it's a Labrador that it will want to swim.
It's good for conditioning if the dog is out of shape, also recovery from surgery. Now that we've been going swimming, and on the underwater treadmill for 10 or so visits, she has an easier time keeping up.
The road is simply overwhelmed and we need to do something about it.
I guess it depends on where you work. My dog gets very excited when she sees she's going to come to work with me. If I worked in a factory with a lot of noise, it might be tough.
No doubt, Lafayette Parish has road needs beyond our funding needs. Numerous other roads in Lafayette need help. But when you look at the volume of traffic coming up this two-lane road ... this makes a lot of sense.
