We were surprised after being told of the new CAF rule before taking on Eritrea of Red Sea.
My advice to him after consulting other officials is that he should not accept the appointment.
Our other option was to travel to Khartoum by air and connect to Asmara by road. But that option is too expensive for us.
It was just misfortune and we are still perplexed by what happened.
The bus broke down and the next vehicle also had a technical hitch. But let us not go into the details. We now have to find a way of getting to Asmara.
According to our flight schedule the earliest we can get to Asmara is on Sunday night. We hope we can be allowed to play next Tuesday.
