We have seen the first decommissioning (of GAM weapons) yesterday. We took in about 62 weapons. Today was a much better day. We took in 100 weapons, so we are confident the GAM side will meet its obligations.
I would like to urge both parties to show maximum restraint, to desist from acts of violence, the use of force and cease all offensive operations.
I urge both parties to cooperate with regard to the provisions of the agreement so that a climate of trust and confidence can be established and the AMM can start work under the best conditions possible.
This is a good start to the peace process.

It is very important for us if all weapons, ammunition and explosives, as well as illegal groups are eliminated. And we must get the government's confirmation on it before we go.
Now GAM can use ballots, not bullets, to fulfill their aspirations.
