It's something the guys are excited about and something they really want to accomplish. If we're able to do it, we think it's the first time that's happened in school history.
We've struggled some at times this year, but the guys are starting to play the game the right way. We're not a team that's going to hit 78 home runs like we did last year. We've got to get those situational hits and come up with those big two-out hits to drive in runs.
When somebody goes down you can't feel sorry for yourself. You need guys who can step and get it done and Jacob got it done for us today (Saturday).
He really worked hard on his conditioning on those off days. He's a big, strong guy and he said he felt good. He had good command of his pitches and threw the ball well.
We're looking forward to starting a new season Tuesday.
