Cancun was a great experience. We learned a lot and we grew a lot. Hopefully, it's going to be fun for all of the fans to continue to watch us grow together.
After Sunday (a 58-34 loss to Indiana State) there was a lot of frustration. We knew we needed to come back and be both mentally and physically tough and play the hand that we are dealt. Hopefully, this is something that we can build on.
We were in striking distance most of the game, so maybe that's something positive that we can take away. But your immediate reaction after the game as a competitor is that you don't like to lose.
We don't have the pressure. We're the underdogs. We're free to just relax and play our game.
In pressure situations there is nobody you want to have the ball other than Kari. She has some kind of 'levelness' about her. When my palms are sweaty and heart is racing, she doesn't feel any pressure.
It's a great role for this team, especially because we're so young. We don't have the big pressure on us.
She gives us that added element of being able to push the ball. Just her presence on the court speeds up the game ? that's how she plays all the time. She was really a spark for us.
She has some kind of 'levelness' about her.
Even just to be back in Springfield will be nice.
Right now we're worried about practice (today). We have to get better and concentrate on us right now. Giving up 92 points is on us, that's hustle and personal pride.
