Our guys are just playing great baseball right now. Things can always change in the blink of an eye, but I think this bunch will stay focused and take this season one game at a time.
We feel we have a great chance to get back where we were last year. We can also go even further with plenty of work and dedication.
I want everyone who can, to come out and support us. This fundraiser is important to us. We have been successful in the past with the community giving up tremendous help.
Our young guys got to play a lot this week and that will help us down the road. It is a long season and you never know when one of those guys will be counted on to come in and make plays.
Robert has started for us since the ninth grade. I have enjoyed coaching him and the time we spent together. I wish we could keep longer.
I told the guys it wasn't perfect, but it was as perfect a game as we've had in a long time.
Going into his final season we are going to count on him on the mound, in the outfield and at bat. There is no designated hitter for Alan. His batting and pitching are a plus, and even if he is playing in the outfield there is not a weak link.
Our pitchers need to do a better job getting ahead in counts. Our hitters have to give them some run support for us to win. In the last few ball games that hasn't been happening and the result has not been good.
I don't know if (the 12 strikeouts) is a record or not, but it's close. He really had his fastball working tonight.
We are good for about three or four errors without him. When he was out, we had to make some shifts in our lineup and play a couple of guys out of position. He is a calming influence while out there on the field.
