We're excited about this. It's very generous of them. And we're thrilled about this fund-raiser because the Canes are doing wonderful.
We usually give the restaurants a month to submit their checks.
Crowds were really out, and that made me very happy. We will have a thank-you lunch coming on May 5, and hopefully we'll have a definite number by then.
I think the reason the board of directors wants to encourage and motivate our students by offering them a scholarship at an early age is so their families can start to think about preparing, attending and paying for college.
We had so many friends helping out that day; hopefully, we will exceed that goal.
This fund-raiser is a part of our basic funding operation. The level of service we can provide to students and families depends on this and other fund-raising efforts.
