Well, if we won out through the playoffs and got to the Joe (Louis Arena for the CCHA championships), we could be gone that long. We had to consider that possibility.

Things are going well. We've had the opportunity to have a couple of practices here. Notre Dame's been very accommodating.

You have to understand, when you're a part of UAF hockey, your time is constantly pulled out by a number of different ways. You have appearances, and talking to kids in schools, and dealing with academics and all the work they have to do as part of the hockey team. Honestly, the guys are more relaxed on the road. They don't have any of those usual pressures.

You battle a lot of things - illness, boredom, keeping the guys fresh and academics are a big thing, too. We're used to this to a certain degree, but practices aren't the same. We just want to play.

I believe so strongly in these three individuals.

Europe is a good fit for both of them. They are going to play in a league where their skills can be showcased and they'll flourish. They're mature and have personalities that will allow them to adapt well.
