I would like the executive branch to investigate why it is we have people living in these conditions and these circumstances.
It's not good enough just to tell people.
It is my expectation as the person appointed to these cases that we are going to provide these people with at least a minimal level of comfort and security. The providers do not have the skill to know or understand when a person is getting in the danger zone.
He inspires people to be public servants, and even if you're in the private sector, he believes you can do more than just make money.
This is a tragedy---truly a tragedy that we have let this get this far without doing something about it.
It is evident that the state is not regulating these locations. It appears to me that the responsibility may fall to local authorities.
