Oh man. What do you do? He's spying out in the corner, and if he catches it he'll run the baseline. If you pick him up, he'll slam you in the corner and score or throw it in the paint to someone open. What can you do?
We knew the odds coming in. We kind of got away from our game plan from the get go. I knew coming in this was a team that could score 60, 70, 80 points. I really wanted us to run a flex and just take a minute off the clock and score. We just didn't do it.
We started pressing in the second quarter and it forced some turnovers. Their coach made some good adjustments after halftime, which slowed the game down. There was no flow to the game.
They pretty much did whatever they wanted to do. They owned us on the glass.
