To not be a partner in this would be like saying the American flag is bad and apple pie is terrible. We are talking thousands of jobs.
The spending constraints we've put into place are working. People are monitoring their budgets and we're doing very well.
Programs that bring together people around a common issue will foster a stronger community and appreciation of diversity issues in our region.
I believe much of this is technical arguments and Wilkes-Barre City needs to act, but I don't necessarily believe we're the right body to force other elected bodies to act.
All we do is fund their budgets. They are 100 percent responsible for their hires. If we disapproved it would not matter.
