That just shows what kind of guys I hoped we had. These guys don't ever give up. They just keep battling like little bulldogs.
The top of the lineup just battled all game. They took good swings and got the job done against a team that can really swing it, too.
Hopefully, our pitching will hold up. Buchholz has been swinging the bats awfully well (scoring 35 runs in three tournament games), so we'll have our work cut out for ourselves.
He did a great job. All night long, he kept them off-balance.
We feel fortunate to win. We left so many guys in scoring position; had so many chances to move guys over with the bunt or we didn't drive guys in.
