Obviously, they have the most to gain (and) the most to lose in terms of the market's success or failure.
He's a special player. You might see a lot of kids who can hit and may be a little weak on defense, or vice versa. Jason's got a little bit of it all, and he excels in all of it. I don't know that he has a true weakness. It's truly something special to be around a kid like that.
He's going to be strong for us. We just want to make sure we keep him well for district.
I think everyone went into last year hoping for the best. I think if you had polled the folks on the committee or others of what to expect, they would have been a little anxious and nervous.
Some kids really stepped up and did well. I know we've got the lead right now, but it's going to come down to the end and it's going to be a battle.
I wasn't expecting to get that many points, but everybody really stepped up. All the coaches working with the kids it takes everybody's work to get to where we're at and it paid off.
We're still trying to place people in the right spots. Right after spring break, we'll start locking in and focusing toward district, but right now we're moving guys around to see how they do in different events and see where they'll be strongest.
We were staying in the house, and the house started trembling. I mean, in a matter of seconds.
We're not ever going to forget that they made the ultimate sacrifice.
We've been doing good, but this is the one that matters. We just have to go out and perform. It's going to be tough all the way around, and everybody's going to have to perform, that's for sure.
We competed last week with Midland Lee and Permian, and those two definitely will be ones that we're hunting after. After that, I'm not sure, but I know it's going to be a strong district overall.
This was an awesome meet all the way around. Whether or not we came out on top, it was still a good competition for everyone.
We're going out to do the very best we can at every meet. But at the same time, we're testing the waters to make sure we're using the right people for district. That's the main one.
We couldn't have done it without the generous support of many individuals and businesses here in the community.
They all did really well at district and I believe they'll do the same this week I know we'll be ready for it. Our main thing is just to do our best and that's all we can ask for. It's going to take two really strong days and we're really going to have to perform.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to them, ... It's a sad situation for everybody.
That's just the competitor he is. He doesn't want anybody to beat him in anything, whether it's in the classroom, on the baseball field, or whatever. He wants to win at everything. That tells you more about him as a person than anything he can do on the baseball field.
It puts pressure on all these kids, because they are being evaluated. I think it's made us a better team, because nobody's taking a day off. They are going harder and harder everyday.
It shows that he talks to the coaches and does research, and that professionalism comes across on the air. I think Aaron has the potential to be a play-by-play guy on the large stage. He's dedicated to being the best announcer he can be.
The best thing for us is if the points get spread out. It comes down at district to who has the best day, and between the four teams it can go any way. If everything clicks on our end, we could be tough to beat. If we're not clicking and everybody else is, it will go the other way.
Oh, my gosh, it's been pretty steady all year.
It helps bring new people in because they're have something else to do.
