We want to make sure that voters can trust that our elections are fair, especially following the problems that were nationally reported with deceased or fictional names being used to vote in St. Louis. This legislation will help make it easy to vote, but tough to cheat.

There is no excuse for not slowing down in construction work zones that are clearly marked, many times miles in advance. That is why we must make a concentrated effort to get drivers to slow down.

That prevents dogs from voting; that prevents dead people from voting.

The core of the whole issue is to restore voter confidence in Missouri's elections.

I'm not anti-Wal-Mart, but they're a retail institution, and historically we have not mixed the two. This is a whole sea change in the way banking and commerce is done if we allow this to happen.
