It's a big number to a little chicken company in Georgia, but it's worth every cent.
Reality speaks, and it says that, absent Hispanic workers, we could not process chicken. There aren't enough native American people who want to work in a chicken plant at any wage. We'd be put out of business.
The companies who are members of the chicken council decided to do this. It took the bigger companies longer to get it together. It was easy for us, so we decided to go ahead and get started early.
