I couldn't have written this any better. This is such an important win for our team and, really, for our program. To go out like this is just incredible.
I was just trying to go out there and provide that spark. That's what I worked on all summer. It's a deal where I'm feeling more confident. I've always been known as a defensive player, but I think I'm showing I can give the team confidence with my shooting.
We've been known in the past to not be the most patient team in the world. And if you're not patient against those guys, they're going to cut you up and kill you.
This is a dream come true. To beat the No. 1 team in the country in my last game in Tallahassee is something special.
They're the best 3-10 team you're going to see in any league out there. And besides that, we've got too much at stake.
It probably took a little while. But going to Florida early in the year and playing them close, we felt at that point if we could play with a top-10 team on the road we could play with anybody.
It means everything. It's what I've been working for for six years. It's what this team wants. It's what this program needs.
If you dig yourself too big of a hole in this league, it's too hard to get out. This was big for the psyche of this team to get a win. Once you start losing and that ball starts rolling, it's tough to change direction.
