State Route 160, we've been talking about for a while. We think the meeting was important in that it brought all the parties together to make sure we're on the same sheet of music and so Las Vegas knows it's a primary concern, with all the growth in the southwest.
Safety is out primary concern, so with the growth that we have in the southwest, we decided to reduce the speed limit to 45 miles per hour.
Our primary concern is the safety of the motorists and pedestrians who use the highways. As long as those signs don't provide a safety problem or distraction to motorists, we generally allow those.
We need locals to use the north-south roads that serve them best. If you're a local and have a better route to avoid some of the congestion, use your best judgment. Of course, Las Vegas Boulevard is the primary north-south route.
