The most worrying thing of all is if we are now seeing a breakdown in communication, trust and co-operation between the British forces -- who have done a heroic job there under the most dreadful of circumstances -- and aspects at least of the Iraqi domestic security forces,
I happen to consider myself a Highlander even before a Scot; I am proud to be British yet feel comfortable as a European citizen.
If British troops are committed to action, then the nation will, of course, support them. Their courage and skill is not in doubt.
