The thing I liked best about our offense tonight is that we finally got out of our own way, ... We were making mistakes, but not because the defense was forcing us to do it. When we run the ball like we did tonight, we're going to be good offensively.

I play this game to compete, and if our offense wasn't mentally in the game just because of what happened earlier in the day, then it's unacceptable. Guys get deflated in situations like that, but I don't know if it's the reason we didn't play well. We would have liked to have finished on a good note but didn't do it.

When you have that rivalry and you have that history that goes with it certainly is good for the game and for the sport. I think it adds a little level of excitement for the players and the fans.

Jason Witten is a special talent. He's as good as Ben Coates (was) when I played with him in his younger years.

We couldn't get out of our way the first quarter. It was very frustrating, but it was good to see the way our offense responded.

It's going to be a great challenge to run the ball against (the Chargers), but we're not going to back down from that. We're still going to run the ball. We feel like we can be a very good rushing football team, and we're not going to let anyone chase us away from that.
