We could not force employers to withhold the tax. According to the law, you can only force employers to withhold once per calendar year.

Employers need to take appropriate steps to investigate all allegations of harassment and to conduct those investigations fairly. Whether an employer has done this is the key issue to be determined in cases such as this.

Employers will not need to give reasons for refusing to allow someone to continue to work beyond 65 and may adopt blanket policies of no work beyond 65 in order to try and avoid the risk of unfair dismissal claims.

It's perfectly possible that students will not graduate this year. Unless the employers respond to our claim in a sensible way, this is a real possibility. We certainly hope it doesn't happen, but it may.
