John is very athletic for his size. His strength is there. He's got to polish a few things in the passing game and some in the running game, but as long as he has a desire there to want to be successful, he's got all the athletic ability to be successful.

Our kids played great. They beat us by 20 first time. It was a game we should have won.

It felt good to be back out there. It felt like my first game in college again. I asked the coach if I could go another inning, but since that was the most pitches I have thrown since a few weeks before the season, the coaches said they didn't want to push me back too fast.

You go up there every time. Just like you guys have families, if you're at the game and you turn around and see someone pushing your wife and getting into it with your wife, I don't think you're going to worry about what the score is.

Once we got over the first-playoff game jitters we got into our flow. That run to end the first half let us play our game.

This is a unique opportunity because the game is in Detroit. We'll be on a world stage ... in front of our employees and neighbors.

I know there were a lot of questions about me, but if you lay a good foundation, you can open some eyes up, ... I felt like that was really my first NFL game (Sunday), starting and everything, and I wanted to make plays. But I have to do it, week in and week out, like all the great ones.

In the first game of the season, you never know what to expect. Now we know what we have to work on before our next game. We made enough plays to win, but we have to be better than this.

I hope it's not my last game but it could be as a Rochester American. I definitely don't want it to be.

Honestly, on the turnovers, we just threw it away. We gave the game away.
