After we got beat by 30 points over there I didn't know what we would do tonight. I thought our guys came out strong, they ran hard and went to the basket a little harder than they did the other night.
We came out real soft. They put pressure on us and we just kind of would hang out. That's the way we played almost all night long.
Deron had an excellent game. He is getting to know our system better. He came out and played against the Hornets and ran our offense like we needed him too.
Andre made the big block. He looked like he was going to foul the guy but he kept stretching out his arms. He blocked the shot and came away with the ball.
Andrei was terrific for us tonight. He had his hands full with a couple smaller players, but he came through with seven blocked shots and made plays when we needed him to.
He came into this league a great player. He obviously has gotten better, but experience is a great teacher. He's just a great, great player.
He came in this league as a great player, in my opinion. But he obviously gets better.
I'm really glad for what happened to Karl Malone, but these guys weren't involved in that that much. Their basic job is to get ready and play basketball, and I didn't think we came out with that intention.
We gave them everything they needed to get their game going and win the ballgame. They came up and put the pressure on us, and we turned the ball over a little bit, and then we got real casual. There was no execution.
Their basic job is to get ready to play basketball and I didn't think we came out with that intention, whatever the situation. There are a lot of distractions in basketball.
