It feels good to be in this position. It's been awhile for Kentucky. This team is very deserving.
Carly did a good job stepping up and competing. Some others didn't.
Our size has been really good to us. I know that (Moore) has probably tried to figure out how to counter that size. Their post people are really good off the dribble, so I would anticipate that they will pull us out away from the basket.
I thought early, we let Hand get some good looks with the 3. But I thought as the game progressed, we were able to take away the 3. Our perimeter defense has been pretty solid all year.
They have the longest winning streak in the country, men or women. They haven't lost since November, so they would have to be coming in here feeling pretty good about themselves and feeling confident. They are a very strong 12th seed.
Michigan State has great size and a great perimeter game as well. They play a very good match-up zone defense. It's going to be a challenge, but that's why we play in the NCAA Tournament. When you get to this point, it gets tougher as the road goes on.
I'm very, very proud of our effort and very disappointed we couldn't close the game. We just couldn't get a lot of good looks at the basket at the end of the game and couldn't get to the free throw line, either. We really struggled to score the last five minutes of the game.
We really showed a lot of toughness at the end of the game. I challenged our players when we were behind. We could have gotten down and folded when things weren't going our way, but we didn't do that. We fought back and had a good chance to win the game.
