O. Henry Ball Quotations

We've started hitting the ball better the last few weeks of the season and hopefully that will carry over. These type of games can turn at any moment so we have to play sound baseball.

Of course I would have liked a little more carries. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. Chris only got (19). We didn't run the ball that much. It was good to be back, for the camaraderie. It's a good thing.

We had some tough losses. Our goal this season was to win 20 games, and we figured we were going to fall short after those one-run losses, but we've been working all week on hitting the first-pitch fast ball and that's what we did tonight.

We feel like we are playing our best ball right now so we feel confident going in. It is just a matter of executing.

It was fun. . . . BC did a good job of putting the ball in play. The defense was very good behind me.

I had all my pitches and was locating the ball real well. The pitches they got RBIs on were right where I wanted to throw it.

I just thought the ball was coming from one side and I wanted to send it to the other side of the 'keeper.

I have to be honest, I didn't mean to do that. When the ball came, I tried to get my foot out of the way. But I'm really happy as we managed to show a completely different game in the second half. They really hurt us in the first half.
