I started asking people, 'Where has he gone?' ... I couldn't believe that somebody could be with you and take you to the movies and then disappear completely. And so it's been a life-long quest. Where did we come from? What are we doing here? Is there meaning or purpose to our existence? Do we have a soul? What happens to us after we die?
