Cellar Roots is not just for art and writing majors at EMU. Any EMU student can contribute. There is a common misperception that has perpetuated over time that you must be an art or writing major, but this is not true.

Cellar Roots has great potential. We want to continue publishing EMU students' writing and artwork. It is important as a resume builder as well as a source for gaining writing and publishing experience. It is an important part of our mission to continue doing this.

We had to design the staircase that led to the second floor ? this soon became the focal point of the entire house. We also built a wine cellar and utility closet underneath the staircase to maximize space.

There is nothing about making wine kosher that needs to be different than making any other wine -- except for the fact that only Sabbath-observant Jews can actually come in contact with the wine and touch it. You need a kosher crew in the cellar to make the wine.

I sort of stopped acting for about five or six years. I was at this awkward age. I felt that now that I am no longer young, my acting career is over. And so I sort of put myself in the wine cellar and I aged for like five, six years and now I'm uncorked and it was pretty good. It was the right taste.

I found many treasures in the woods over the years: shotgun shells, empty Colt 45 bottles, old railroad spikes, orange and black beetles eating a dead mouse, pebbles that looked just like teeth, old stone walls and cellar holes, a rusted out frying pan, the skull of a cat.

Honestly, my entire childhood could be summed up with one word: Reader. I was always hunched over a book; in fact, I was the only kid in the world who got paler in the summer, because I'd sneak down into our cool, dank cellar and sit alone with a book for hours.

The club was created to thank our loyal clients for their support over the years and forge new relationships with the ongoing stream of visitors to our cellar tasting room and our two restaurants in the Cape Peninsula.

We were big shots down there in the cellar of The Enterprise building. My father and the older Charlie Fuller were good friends.

It's kind of a must-win game for us right now. We've got to get out of the cellar and into the win column.
