I imagined being a famous writer would be like being like Jane Austen.
Our most famous writers are Faulkner and Eudora Welty and Flannery O'Connor. It would make sense that the poetry would reflect some of those same values, some of the same techniques.
I've enjoyed being a famous writer-except that every once in a while you have to write something.
