The new rule is much more friendly to taxpayers. Only sales of more than $500,000 for married couples and $250,000 for single people have to be reported. So you don't need to keep records unless you think you home may sell for more than that amount.
That openness comes with a cost. If you could have gotten the property at $100,000 less, you would have saved taxpayers $100,000. The cure would be the public would not have a right to know, and that's wrong.
That's twice the cost and for the taxpayers. That's not right. If you're going to do business with Mississippi folks and the law says you should do it then that should happen,
