I am upset and worried with the way we lost too many wickets in the early stage. We did it in the first match and repeated in the second. I think this was the reason we lost our way.
I am still a bowler who can bat also. Getting wickets is important for me.
They managed to get runs even after losing several wickets while we just caved in. We did well overall, but now have to forget the first match and start performing all over again.
It is the prerogative of the home side to prepare the pitch. We are ready to play on any wicket but such wickets are not good for cricket.
Those last two wickets were definitely the cherry on the top and I'm sure knocked them a little bit in the dressing room.
The wickets will be similar to what the players will face early in the season at the SCG,
The wicket looked flat but it didn't transpire that way. We've got to be ready for any type of wicket... we've got to be able to react quickly to how the wickets start off that's what we haven't done quite well enough so far on this tour.
I can't see Blackwell taking lots of wickets in India. He's not a big spinner of the ball and he won't worry the Indian batsmen on their own pitches.
But the players are keen, and we will try to take all the wickets we can.
Both times we lost tosses and we had to respond to big totals, and that's not easy no matter how flat the wickets were.
