Where it gets really complicated is some player reps are on different teams now and some aren't even playing. Some executive-committee members have retired. So who gets a vote? Who still has a say in the matter? Without those guys in there, should somebody be promoted?

We let two games in a row slip, and after what occurred earlier in the year, we thought we should address it and take care of things quickly.

Maybe we should hear that in our meetings. Maybe that'll wake us up. They have guys who work hard. They're a decent team that's run into some problems that have kept them from being closer to the playoff race, but we've had issues with them all season long. We have to bring our better game.

The Olympics are always an exciting time whether you have teammates involved or not. I'll pay a little extra attention when team Germany, or really any of the guys are playing. It was a bang-bang play. I thought it was going to the point. It hit a shin pad kind of in the middle. I think that we went and forced the pass from Lang. They're talented players, they find those passes.

In the beginning, we were doing some of things we wanted to. Get it in deep and work and get some pressure on them. They're one of the best, if not the best, passing clubs. To give them room on the point, the other guys will get open. We made it tougher than we needed to.

The first period was very good and the second was kind of a characteristic that I thought we had gotten away from.
