Our chances of winning the conference championship five years ago was 95 percent, ... Now it's down to 50-50.
Our penalties continually punished us and continually took away good play after good play that could have won the game. We're not good enough to do that. Some people might could. We might have done (so) in the past. We've got to eliminate the penalties.
Out of all of them, he would have been the least one we expected to do what he was doing. We didn't know how he could play like he's playing right now.
I think we need that. We've been down so low the last three or four years at times ... I want to get back to challenging our kids again to try to get some of our mystique back.
I thought our kids played about as hard and about as good as we could. If we could have eliminated penalties I think we might have won the game. I don't know how many holding penalties we got in the red zone. It seemed like every time we got to the red zone there was a holding penalty, even in the playoff in the end. We were our own worst enemy in that regard.
I think it's worth it. We can't afford to be missing an opportunity to play on national television on a Monday night.
Last time you're playing at home (this season), I thought we'd go out there and jump all over them. We're just not a dominating team right now.
It comes when you least expect it. The defense played super, but we gotta work on the quarterbacks.
I was concerned it was slipping away from us. I was very concerned.
Like I've always said, I think you can make more money if you stay another year in school and work toward getting your diploma. But if there are extenuating circumstances, then I will support the decision to enter the draft. Antonio is an outstanding athlete and there is no doubt that he has the ability to play in the NFL.
Like I told my kids, what a great game to build (upon) going into next year. I thought our kids played about as hard and about as good as we could. If we could have eliminated penalties I think we might have won the game.
I think our schedule is now so tough, and with a playoff game, I ain't going to look out for no Ohio State. You want to get somebody to come to your school and play, like some of our neighbors maybe.
Our quarterbacks had performed so well the week previous to this game in practice. Then you go in that ballgame and you look like a freshman, you know? So there's no doubt about it, now we've got to get them playing to their ability. ... And, of course, we'll try to blend our running game with it more.
I think in (Wake Forest game) you saw the vulnerability some times. We've got to stay healthy is what it comes down to.
