For us to have four boys under a minute is quite an accomplishment.
The one-two finish was totally unexpected. That, and with Sarah scoring in the 50, I thought we might be closer to Sweet Home in the final tally. But I was very excited to see us ahead of Cascade.
It was a great meet for us. With the exception of a few swimmers, all hit some personal best times.
I was really surprised by the boys winning the meet. Molalla has battled us close all year each time we've met. Sometimes we've gained more points and sometimes Molalla has.
It was good to swim against teams from other districts just to see what the competition may be like.
We're continuing to see big time-drops with them and other first-year swimmers. It's very rewarding to watch them feel comfortable in the water. As a whole, they've been working very hard in the pool every day and we are starting to see the results of that hard work.
We just need to finalize how and what we are going to swim at the district meet.
We swam some very smart races Thursday and overall I'm pleased with the whole team effort.
The ladies showed some real resolve to finish the race hard.
