I've always been able to, when I first meet someone, get a good read on their personality, and I'm fairly observant, so I can tell what people will do and won't do. I pick up on that quicker than some.
It's fun, you have something to do and hang out with all these other people.
Nobody's taught me. I read ... some poker book I checked out of the library. I read about it so I'd have some idea of the rules of the game, so I wouldn't make a fool out of myself.
You get to use your head. People think it's just whatever cards you get, but there's a lot of thought involved. There's math involved, trying to figure out what your chances are compared to others.
You either have to qualify for it through another tournament, or you have to pay $10,000 to enter.
